Here's something I really want to know. If I were to call up 9-1-1 saying there was someone in my house that wanted to kill me, would those operators be able to tell me what to do until help arrives? Or would they just tell me help was quickly on its way and hang up? Are people really trained enough nowadays to really do their jobs right? And I don't mean say the same thing they say to everyone and hang up. I mean, do they really know what they are talking about? There are people who are going to school for a Ph.D and they don't even know what they're getting it in! I think a 9-1-1 operator should be trained on what to do in every situtation so they will be able to help these people along until help arrives. It's about the customers.
